The Frequency Selection Board is an essential part of the LEO-PNT Payload architecture, providing high quality clock signals to various units.
WEC was contracted to develop and qualify within 9 month a highly customized clock distribution unit, defining the basis of the PNT signal processing on board. The first two Flight Models have been delivered and accepted after qualification and characterization campaign. They are now integrated into the satellite, with several more are to come in the near future.

WEC is looking forward to the launch of the Pathfinder A Satellite in Feb. 2026. More info on www.gmv.com and on www.esa.int.

Since 2021, the CEO was the project manager and technical RF lead of the scientific payload GeReLEO-SMART. The 5 kg box contains an Ka-band receiving antenna array, MEMS Switches, an FPGA for controlling and several LNAs. The payload was successfully integrated on H2SAT in 2020 and launched 2023. Since then, the unit is working flawless in GEO. Periodical experiments gather data on performance evolution over time.

Activities were RF- and Antenna design, Performance testing in CATR plus planning and conducting the complete EQM and PFM test campaign.

The Project was funded by the DLR with FKZ: 50YB1221. Further information is available on the project site www.gereleo-smart.de.
